I have met some awesome people. We all hike at different paces but at the end of the day (or two days later) wind up running into each other.
It has rained every night and most of every day! Nothing like setting up a rain fly In the rain.. Praying it holds the downpours and windstorms of the night .. And then packing up .. In the rain! It is my fourth day and I have stopped at Neels gap for a shower and to dry some things out!
I have had trail magic three times ! The leap frog cafe pulled up trail side and provided banana pancakes and fresh Dunkin coffee! Here at the the hostel a past thru hiker of '13 dropped off an entire truck full of food! A church group dropped of of a pasta dinner! And the eating begins.) Amazing how far such kind gestures go in the hiker community.
Glad to be sitting in front of a wood stove and out of tonight's thunderstorms.
Tomorrow I set out for another four day adventure ... To be greeted and picked up by Bryson. ( how exciting to hike to a parking lot where he will be wahooo!)
