What an awesome first week!

Yesterday marked my eighth day of hiking. I have since the first day grown exceptionally better at breaking down camp in the morning and hitting the trail.

I have kicked my immense LOVE for coffee to the curb, as not starting the stove in the morning saves me both time and fuel. I have begun praying the rosary every morning as I begin my hike in the quiet calm of the morning. ( If you would like for me to pray for anything in particular let me know)

TRAIL MAGIC
It is simply the best thing ever, and seems to be in no shortage! My favorite day on the trail thus far was a gorgeous day, the sun actually broke through and I knocked out a 16 miler. I was greeted three times by trail magic. I sat in a lawn chair with a hamburger, good people , sunshine and stayed for two hours. It was bliss. Later in the day as I was making my final ascent up Tray mountain I passed a boy scout group. Completely stuffed from prior trail magic they encouraged me to come back down the mountain for dinner: chicken fajitas and peach cobbler.  Once a solid mile and a half up, everyone was beat and no one wanted to go back down.... Except werewolf and myself! I love peach cobbler and werewolf convinced me that I couldn't turn it down in Georgia! Leading this journey with no regrets I laced up my boots again and descended. A great campfire, guitar, sunset, and yes peach cobbler... Made in a Dutch oven! Warm and full we made the climb back up with headlamps on. Some have started calling me PC for being insane enough to add on another climb after a long day .... Ummm hello peach cobbler?!!!

At neels gap... Only part of the trail that goes through a tunnel

Great food
And great convo

Peach cobbler with the Boy Scouts
