A continuation of generosity

I hiked anxiously to Lee, MA as I knew I was meeting Aunt KK.  The rain cleared and the miles flew by distracted by an excellent audio book. We found each other and boy was I pampered. We got a load of laundry going, and grabbed a hot cup of coffee. Back at the hotel we had a great cocktail hour while I soaked my feet and gave them some TLC. I then showered with some AMAZING products. Having lived out of a backpack for essentially an entire year now I felt the cleanest I have in forever! We enjoyed excellent food and even better convo. I am so glad we were able to meet up! Thanks for such a special, thoughtful gift that I will never forget.

After being dropped off at the trail head I hiked 21 miles into Dalton. Here I was greeted with open arms by a lovely man named Tom. Tom has been opening up his home to hikers for over 26 years now. He cooked me and another hiker who was staying th night both dinner and breakfast. Over dinner he shared past pictures of hikers that have come through and several stories. He has seen and done it all. A few examples: he pulled someone's tooth, he removed staples from a guys scalp, he helped a guy dry out a snake skin -of which he killed and ate- with the skin he made Tom a bracelet! The stories were endless.
Thanks for opening up your home, not only to me but all the hikers before and after me!

PEOPLE ARE BEAUTIFUL

Don't get your shoes wet!?

Spoiled!

Thank you for everything!!!
Closing in on Maine!
Tom sharing past pictures and stories. (Funny how similar hikers look)
Thanks for being apart of my journey
